JW Performance Transmissions

This past Sunday we had the pleasure of visiting and co-sponsoring the Hill n Hole mud race at Bithlo Mud Racing Park (http://www.bithlomudracing.com/) in Orlando, FL, put on by the fine folks at Trucks Gone Wild (http://www.trucksgonewild.com/).  Everyone should try to make it out to one of these races at one point or another.  This has got to be one of the most entertaining forms of motor sport there is.

For those of you not familiar with Hill n Hole mud racing, here’s a quick run-down of what to expect: it is a timed event over the length of about 300 yards. There is a large pit dug out with a series of hills that trucks must crawl, drive or fly over.  Some trucks catch air of 15+ feet, while some trucks get stuck.  There are a wide variety of trucks that compete, and a few classes to make it more of a level playing ground.  Some trucks are designed primarily for speed, and some trucks primarily for digging down deep in the mud.  Most trucks are custom built from the frame up, and usually use axles from old surplus military trucks or construction equipment.  Some trucks are less modified and are based around an OEM design.  Either way you are guaranteed to see some exciting stuff.

On a side note the powerglide Ultra-Case (#92310) is back and better then ever!  We have improved the overall look of the case, and made a few changes to the case to make it even better.  Contact J.W. Performance to get your hands on one of these.

Customer Testimonials

Hey Eric,

I delt with you on my new JW powerglide. I had 1 race on it and thats when we found the converter was too tight. Since you guys loosened it up its been insanely consistent!!! In 3 races the car has been unreal. I went to woodburn dragstrip in oregon for the weekend right after i got my converter. I went out with 8 left. The car ran four 9.99s in a row. Then the next weekend I headed to pacific raceways in seattle washington. It was a double header. saturday I won. The car ran right on the money almost every time. Then sunday I ran five 9.93s in a row. I lost in the third round where I messed up my dial like an idiot. But that weekend 8 out of 13 total runs were 9.93!!!!!!! WOW!!! I am now leading the points at pacific raceways! I just want to say thanks and your transmission kicks some serious ass!!!!

JW Performance Staff,

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the entire JW Performance staff for the quality parts, professional services and outstanding technical support that you have provided to us over the past three years. As a budget conscience bracket racer and small business owner, it is important that I align our race team and performance parts business with companies that share our goals; Quality, Performance and Customer Satisfaction. The entire staff of JW Performance has proven time and time again that they are driven by these same goals.

As a performance parts distributor, I have a strong belief that we should use the parts that we distribute. That is the reason our bracket car is running a JW Ultra Bell, JW Ultra Case, JW planetary gears, JW Ultra Comp converter and JW flex plate. This set-up has proven to be reliable and consistent. Since we installed the set-up in the spring of 2004, we have had no mechanical issues with the transmission and the yearly PM has become simply a disassembly, inspection and reassembly routine. This is a true testament to the design, quality and workmanship of the JW components.

Click for large viewThere are a couple of key characteristics that define an outstanding performance parts manufacturer; quality performance parts and a friendly, knowledgeable customer service department. The JW Performance customer service team is one of the best on the market. They are able and willing to meet demanding schedules and provide some of the best technical support that we have encountered.

Thanks again for quality parts and outstanding customer service.

Best Regards,

Kyle Hanrahan Hanrahan Performance Products & Hanrahan Brothers Racing
